Examining a PhD viva in Trento, Italy

Last week, I had the pleasure of serving as an external examiner for a PhD viva at the University of Trento. It was stimulating to engage with exciting new research from the Biasini lab.

While in Trento, I also had the chance to catch up with my peer Emiliano Biasini, an exceptional researcher in the prion field. It was both inspiring and grounding to exchange ideas and reflect on the joys and challenges of academic life in our respective corners of the world.

Chin chin to a well-deserved cum laude outcome!

Also sharing a few random snapshots from Trento and Verona. At the Verona airport I spotted Żubrówka, the iconic Polish bison grass vodka. It is always amusing to see how it keeps winning hearts across borders!
