Polina graduated with a First-Class BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Chester, where her dissertation focused on global surveillance of SARS CoV 2 antiviral resistance mutations. Her internship project in our lab focused on validating an inducible A53T a-synuclein neuroblastoma cell line. Throughout this internship, she optimised doxycycline concentration parameters, monitored aggregate presence using confocal microscopy and Western blotting, and set up single-cell cultures to isolate distinct clonal populations. She is currently pursuing an MSc in Biochemical Engineering at University College London.
